Cardamom Mint Coffee

Because everyone needs a little spice in their life. Add some zhuzh to your morning brew with this match made in heaven.

Ingredients:

  • ground coffee

  • green cardamom pods

  • fresh mint

  • honey

Instructions:

On a stove, bring water to a boil in your kettle, and then remove from the heat. Rinse your coffee filter with a splash of the hot water to remove the papery taste, and then place in the filter holder set over the carafe. Measure out your coffee, using 1.5-2 tablespoons of coffee per cup of water, depending on how strong you like it.

Crush one cardamom pod per cup of water and add to the coffee grounds. Smack a handful of mint to release those good ol’ aromatics and add that to the coffee grounds, too. Slowly pour the hot water over the grounds until you reach your desired amount of coffee in the carafe.

Drizzle honey around the inside of your mug, fill with coffee, and voila! You’ve got your cardamom-y caffeine kick for the day.
