Strawberries + Cream Rice Krispie Treats

S’mores can have the night off. This sweet treat can be made over a camp stove, or made at home and packed in . Feel free to swap the strawbs for another freeze-dried fruit, or add in any mix-ins that strike your fancy!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 2x 10-oz. packages mini-marshmallows, divided 

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 8 cups crispy rice cereal

  • 1-oz. package freeze-dried strawberries

Instructions:

Melt butter in a large pot on medium-low heat. Add 15 oz. of the mini-marshmallows and melt into the butter. 

Once marshmallows are fully combined, add in the salt, cereal, and freeze-dried strawberries, mixing to combine. 

Turn off the heat and stir in remaining mini-marshmallows.

Gently press mixture into a 9x13-inch pan or 9-inch cast iron lined with buttered parchment paper or aluminum foil. 

Let cool, cut into squares, and enjoy!
